Six months have passed since the popular Mashup Monetization Models session at MashupCamp1. Lets follow-up on this theme, but take it further with examples. Feel free to list your ideas here.

  • Ad generated revenue (Google, Yahoo, etc.)

  • Vertical specific ads/sponsorship (Addidas for world-cup related mashup)
  • Affilliate links (Amazon, eBay, etc.)
  • Premiums services (1-5 users free. Pay for additional users/services, etc.)
  • Mashup as an acquisition vehicle (build an innovative mashup, get acquired)
  • Mashup as a resume builder (build an innovative mashup, get a job at Google, Yahoo, etc.)
  • Summarize user generated data and sell for a fee

    • uses local coupons through retailer stores for better deals for the consumers
