After an undergraduate education in Business Administration and a short marketing focused career, Onur obtained his master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Integrated Marketing communications program in December 2005. There he took classes from both Medill School of Journalism and Kellogg School of Management, specializing on direct, database and e-commerce Marketing. This background has awarded him with some invaluable professional skills including Customer (Relationship, Experience and Portfolio) Management, Branding, and Data-mining / Multivariate data analysis.

Perhaps because he used to work passionately for a publishing company, where he both administered company websites, and authored articles on Computing and Internet, Onur seems to be particularly interested in applications of these skills in the areas of e-commerce strategy and, media / new media marketing. He recently completed his summer residency at RC2 Corporation, working on a CRM strategy design project, where he primarily addressed the better utilization means of Internet and Call Centers for achieving increased customer loyalty.

Currently he is working freelance doing some independent research, blogging at NeoMarketing.tv, in addition to developing various entrepreneurial projects.

As for the mashupcamp, he is enthusiastic about discussing potential mashup applications on news and entertainment media.
