The "Best Personal Productivity" Mashup Contest (the "Contest") is being sponsored by IBM (the "Sponsor") in connection with Mashup Camp 7 to be held November 17-19, 2008 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California (the "Conference"). Each person who enters the Contest (each, an "Entrant") agrees to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor and its judges, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to the Contest.
How to enter
To compete in the Contest, an Entrant must sign-up live onsite at Mashup Camp, anytime between 9:00 a.m. PST on Monday, November 17, 2008 and 5:00 p.m. PST on Tuesday, November 18, 2008.
After signing up, the Entrant must:
- Attend a mandatory Contestant Meeting at 5:30 p.m. PST on Tuesday, November 18, 2008. During this meeting, each Entrant must sign and return a Liability Release and W-9 for tax reporting purposes. The Liabiltiy Release will include, to the extent permitted by law and even if already granted by a Entrant’s acceptance of these Official Rules, the grant by each Entrant of permission (without further compensation) for Sponsor to use the Entrant’s name, photograph and likeness (if an individual), logo (if any), state of residence, and Entry for advertising, promotion, marketing, and administration of the Contest and the Conference, including mention at www.mashupcamp.com.
- Submit their Mashup to the Lotus Greenhouse (https://greenhouse.lotus.com/home/product.jsp?p=mashups) by 9:00 a.m. PST on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. An Entrant must provide a link to and description of their Mashup along with all the assets (feeds and widgets) that were used to create the Entry.
Entrants may list their intention to participate at http://wiki.mashupcamp.com/index.php/SpeedGeeking8. However, listing one’s intention to participate does not improve one’s chances of winning.
Notification
Entries will be evaluated by IBM in conjunction with Mashup Camp Organizers at the Conference (collectively, the "Judges"). Judging will be completed by 4:00 p.m. PST on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the Conference. The prizewinner will be determined by the Judges.
Sponsor will notify the potential winner, in person, on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 during the Awards & Cocktail Reception at the end of the last day of the Conference. Sponsor’s decision is final.
Entrant must be present at Mashup Camp's Awards & Cocktail Reception to win.
This contest is sponsored by IBM, Armonk, NY.
Entrant requirements
Any potential winner who does not satisfy all of the requirements of these Official Rules may be disqualified and Sponsor may select an alternate winning Entry from the remaining Entries.
Sponsor reserves the right to share ownership and use of the winning "Best Personal Productivity" Mashup with any and all of its affiliates, without limitation.
Each Entrant will be responsible for his or her own costs of travel, meals, accommodations, and equipment in connection with the Contest and the Conference. All individual Entrants and representatives of business entity Entrants must be in sufficient physical condition for safe travel to the Conference.

- the creativity represented in the presentation and information brought together in the solution; and
