WINNER: Dustin Boeger -- CALFED Program Mashup

The CALFED Program is a unique collaboration among 25 state and federal agencies that came together to improve California’s water supply and the ecological health of the San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. Dustin had some project data related to the tracking of certain fish species and wanted to create a mashup around it. He started with his data in MS Excel format, imported it and displayed it in a widget and combined it with other public news and mapping services. This allowed him to search for a certain fish species, find projects that focus on the species, plot the project location on a map and show current news about the selected species.
